Wild Gator Tail (2.5lb pack)
Wild Florida Alligator Tail is a mild-flavored white meat that is low in fat and cholesterol and high in protein. Its texture is similar to veal, and it can be used in as a substitute for chicken, pork, veal, or fish in virtually any recipe. An entire stick of butter fried in a pan with some garlic is all you need to coat the gator tail in flavoring before you add some salt and pepper and onions, and then take it to the grill for the grand finale. You'll want to cook it medium to medium well for the best flavoring. If you want to fry it golden brown, just repeat the same steps, but instead of grilling it, season the cooking oil in the pan. (Make sure to have paper towels ready for the excess oil.) Unlike farmed gator, wild gator is flavorful and does not require batter or dipping sauces. For fun, however, cooked gator can be dipped in BBQ sauce, honey mustard, and/or a mayo/hot sauce blend.
